IHM Offers New Master of Nursing Articulation Pathway

On December 2019, the Institute of Health & Management (IHM) formalised an Articulation Agreement with Charles Darwin University (CDU).

Through this articulation, the students of the Graduate Diploma in Nursing (GDN) after successfully completing their course can move on to the Master of Nursing Studies (International) (MNST) delivered by CDU.

Students will enrol in the 2nd Year of Master of Nursing Studies, an AQF Level 9 qualification, and will complete 4 Units (60 credit points) over 2 Semesters.

As per the recent update, the MNST program may be undertaken On-Campus at either CDU’s Casuarina Darwin or Sydney CBD. However, IHM is working towards developing a flexible mode of delivery.

Master of Nursing Studies (MNST) – International

With over 3000 students and CDU staff located across Australia and internationally, the College of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the largest university providers of online education for nurses and midwives.

The Master of Nursing Studies program is designed to produce excellent graduates who will become the next generation of nursing and midwifery leaders in their chosen career path. IHM in partnership with CDU aims to develop knowledge of Nurses gained through clinical practice, hone their research skills and advance their discipline-specific theoretical knowledge in Nursing.

One of the admission criteria is that the applicants are required to be Nurses in their country of origin and have clinical experience.

Note: MNST is a coursework qualification which does not lead to registration as a Nurse or Midwife in Australia.
