Nursing Career Advancement Program – Outcomes Based Assessment (NCAP – OBA)

In March 2020, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) transitioned to an Outcomes-Based Assessment (OBA) for Internationally Qualified Nurses and Midwives (IQNMs) who meet the AHPRA registration standards. With this new system, the bridging program has been now replaced by Outcomes-Based Assessment (OBA).

To assist internationally qualified nurses prepare for the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) exam and the Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE), the Institute of Health & Management (IHM) has developed the Nursing Career Advancement Program – OBA. NCAP – OBA is a preparatory course which enhances your professional knowledge and practical skills to help nurses prepare for both modules of the Outcomes-Based Assessment in Australia.

*Please Note: This course does not lead directly to registration as a Nurse or Midwife in Australia.

  • 1. Self Check
  • 2. IQNM Assessment Process
  • 3. Orientation
